I was excited when I heard that Lego bought a Lord of the Rings license. I thought they did a great job at recapturing the fun of Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings movies have been translated into video games well. I just did not expect it to be fun on the level it is. This is one that every Lord of the Rings fan should try. The voice acting is accurate, the dark tone is great, and the game never strays away from the movies or JRR Tolkien's books. The characters sound a lot like their motion picture counter parts and the voices give the world even more life. The tone of the game is as dark as Tolkien's world. The game also never strays away from the source material either. All the exciting moments from The Tomb of Balin to Helm's Deep to Minas Tirith are included. And the backgrounds are good looking, but the graphics are at their best during battles. This is the best video game adaptation of The Lord of Rings to date.
