Aside from the graphics and limited fixed camera angles, the DS version is just as good as it's console bigger brother.
The levels are so expansive that it could take 20 minutes to a half an hour to go through some of them, and there's so much to do in each level.
The best part of these games in my opinion is that after you've beaten the game, you can go back and play in free play mode with any character you want and collect more goodies which were not available to you the first time through. It effectively doubles the replay value.
It's really a great game. I recommend it.
