Highly complex and creative

Any "Legacy Of Kain" Fan-boy could tell you all about the series and would instantly know what you meant if you said: "So i used Raziel to travel all the way across Nosgoth by means of gliding", However, anyone new to the series would give you a harsh stare and back away, But don't be alarmed once you've played it you'll start speaking like this.
Why? Because it's a bloody good series play any of the games for five minutes and you instantly know you're going to love it or hate it (It's abit like marmite really!) but why? what makes the games so good?.

I'm here to talk about Defiance so if you want a catch up of the series read another review, or better yet, play the series. Defiance has just about the same basis as before; Raziel and Kain are looking for answers as to how they change their destiny, but it's the way you have to help them succeed that really grabs you this time. The game plays in chapters and you alternate between playing as Raziel and Kain after each chapter so that you get a view from two different perspectives.
Without this though, you'd probably get confused because there's so much info to register.

But the fighting system has been taken up a notch, you start of with basically no specials to use and basic attacks, but, survive the game long enough and you'll upgrade the reavers, but even better than that is that you now have to earn experience to unlock five different moves for each character.(the last of which is my favourite)

So we know that this game won't get boring during the fighting, but what about when you're not? The world of Nosgoth seems full of puzzles, you literally can't escape them. Its like if you had to do 3 mind boggling puzzles just to go to the toilet, it gets a little frustrating. especially when the puzzle's are repetitive.

But don't let that pull you down, they've tryed to add creativity to the game and it does work, in places, you just have to look.
Overall, it's imaginative, but repetitive so look in the bargain bin and buy it if it's there.
