if you wan't great voice acting, and a story to boot, then this is the game for you
The game has two stories that switch periodically between Raziel and Kain, you start with Kain, eventually as you go through, the stories come together. They have certainly changed a lot of things since the last soul reaver, the controls have been changed for the better from adventure platforming to hack and slash adventure platforming, and it actually works, you use various combo and powers to slash your way to the end.
The need to feed, yes you still need to feed in order to survive, so make sure you health is filled, or you will die from starvation. both kain or raziel can either feed from a distance or directly. The camera works most of the time, it will quirk up, but it is nothing to really worry about. graphics are still pretty good to this day. the environment is a little linear, it has got a nice Gothic scenery. You should probably get a guide if you play this the first time, i know i sure needed one. The controls are easily summed up as pretty standard for a hack and slash, you only have to learn a few moves that don't really matter that much. Telekinesis can be used in the environment or enemies, throw one guy off a cliff, hurl another towards a spike, or set one guy on fire, what ever.
The Voice acting is phenomenal, excellent work if i must say so my self, but there are some points in the game where it feels kind of cheesy.
