Its certainly better than Soul reaver 2 and Blood Omen 2. The background still perfect, but the gameplay lacks something
But the gameplay could be better, the combat and evolution system, makes the game toward in the direction of a beat' em up game.
There was a change of the game content from a immersive, huge explorative open world, to a linear stages game. Sometimes you will be stuck in some areas of the game, killing minions of enemies, who are well designed and had a decent A.I, but aren't too enjoyable as it could be if the combat system was less button mashing.
The major of the puzzles in the game are pretty good, but as it comes to the circle rooms after the purple portals, it starts to get repetitive, since both caracters go to that places a lot, and spend considering time exploring it.
The game is really worth of playing, but for the art, history, concept and overrall technologic quality it do has, they could have done a better gameplay.
I recommend this game for everyone that wants a deep action adventure game, and is a game that LOK fans must have. If looking at the game's main content, it surpasses the small lacks of gameplay greatly.
