Good fun multiplayer. Better than some might say.
Essentially the idea is to kill of any opposition in different movie sets that are well animated and graphically impressive. As each round progresses the set moves through different scenes posing challenges e.g. a sinking ship (based on Titanic) or a chamber that fills with poison gass.
Each character is assigned with a fighting style and they all have a particular 'special move'. These are executed by taunting opponents when they are temporarily knocked to the floor. Once a taunt is completed a star appears above the characters head and once they have gained 3, they can use the move. The special moves are rather amusing normally resulting in the death of every other player (unless they are on your team). This adds a whole other gameplay element that usually results in the player with 2 taunts to be targeted by everyone else.
While on the ground it is also possible to be thrown off the set resulting in the loss of one of your lives. As expected, once the life counter reaches 0 you are eliminated and the game continues with the remaining players.
The main appeal of the game is that it is something different and at the same time easy to get to grips with, allowing people who do not even own the game to quickly come to terms with it and provide a substantial challenge.
The sets do not just include fighting ones, there are variants that add a bit of variety to the game and most of which are really fun, once again only when playing with others.
One thing that does spoil the MP is that the movie sets have to be unlocked through the never ending SP which is not much fun.
While there is little to gain from the single player, Kung Fu Chaos is great to play with others thanks to the fun gameplay, ammusing characters and ease of use.
