This is an excellent example of an iPhone game. The animation is charming and funny, the gameplay simple yet challenging. It's easy to get sucked into and play for a while, but it's levels are short enough that you can set it down if you need to use the phone for something else or if the professor notices you're not paying attention! The objective is to protect your castle from marauding invaders. The concept could have been made into a very short and repetitive game, but the makers of Knights Onrush avoid this by adding new characters on every level, all of which require different attacks to kill. There's also a store where you use your points to buy new defensive items. A relatively large number of levels adds to the length of the game. The developers at Chillingo Ltd have managed to take a simple concept and create a surprisingly complex and engaging game.
