Blasting out of your screen in an explosion of 8-bit brilliance Kirby is one of the finest looking masterpieces the NES had and has to offer. While the series will always be placed after the legendary mario, there is something about it i just fell in love with, the game oozes not only colour and charm but its gameplay packs a powerful punch all for the meager price tag of 500 wii points.

GAMEPLAY - Diversity is this games greatest asset, kirby's unique ability to inhale and digest a variety of enemies gives him some wonderful and powerful abilities, which in my opinion really allows the game to distinguish itself from the relative if not brilliant simplicity of the mario games. The levels also feature the same level of diversity as the gameplay itself and not to mention the wide variety of enemies to do battle with. Swing swords in the upper canopy of an exotic jungle, rain death and destruction from your UFO or char grill that particularly hated enemy atop a city in the clouds.

GRAPHICS - The games graphics are astonishing, it genuinely looks as though it belongs on the SNES at first glance. It's colourful and detailed and the games protagonist looks as lovable as a pink puffball should. The game features graphical innovations with its artificial rotating column sections, something thought to be impossible on the NES.

SOUND - The synth music we all know and love it present in this game, the sound track, like the protagonist is bubbly and just really cool and funky yet diverse and used very appropriately throughout the game.

VALUE - 500 wii points is well worth the purchase for this game, while it isn't very long it is a few hours of solid and charming fun and i strongly recommend it to anyone.
