When you first hear about Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders, you wonder why this game wasn't made for the PC instead of the Xbox. RTS games and consoles usually don't go well together, but Kingdom Under Fire succeeds by combining RPG like hack and slash gameplay with RTS style army commands. It does take a while to get use to the games control scheme and learn everything you need to do to successfully lead your army to glory, but if you take the time, it'll pay off. The single player mode is deep and challenging and the online multiplayer mode is very interesting and enjoyable on live. Yes, it's tough to play a game of it's complexity on a console, but Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders proves that an RTS can succeed on a console, but it's still not quite as good as a PC game.
Note: This is a perfect companion piece to Ridley Scott's 'Kingdom of Heaven' movie.
