To hell with story, this game is just plain satisfying.

This game is remarkably fun. There's no story, no normal campaign, no competitive multiplayer. But what it does, it does really well. The cooperative zombie killing is extremely satisfying, there's a large variety of enemies, maps, and weapons to keep things interesting. The slowmo "zedtime" can be annoying when someone else triggers it, but sometimes it's awesome. For example, one time I fired the basic 9mm pistol once and 2 zombie's heads (one behind the other) exploded at the same time. That moment sold me on the slowmo. It has some minor connection issues, but if you stick to using dedicated servers (and there's enough of them) then you'll be alright.
This is my favorite game by now, and for $20 on steam it's a purchase you won't regret.
(And the fact that's it's for mac and pc is pretty cool, both versions are equally good)
