Katamari Damacy, an insane Japanese sticky ball induced dream which I can't shake

Like everyone else who jsut recently bought this (at $19.99 MSRP no less!) I'm completely infatuated. I don't often write reviews, but I felt I HAD TO for this freakfest. The game is simple. You're a Prince tasked with returning the stars to the sky by rolling around a sticky ball that picks up miscellaneous stuff and then the "King of all Kosmos" turns that trash into said stars. Phew. Still with me? Good. It's a simple concept, with simple controls. Use the left and right analog sticks to control movement of your "sticky ball" and the left and right buttons for various functions such as jump, view, etc. You're given a time limit for each mini-game, and must beat the time to move on to the next star. Roll the ball around to pick up the little stuff, while avoiding all kinds of hazards, and once the ball has become larger, roll it around to pick up big stuff such as cats, people, you get the idea. The "King of all Kosmos" will update you on your progress, which usually will be poor. The game is far more challenging than you first expect. Say you roll over a ruler, well, now your ball is lop-sided, and will roll strangely and with difficulty. Trick is if you do roll over such things, try to roll over more on the other side of your ball to even it out. There's several "trippy Japanese cube people watching tv reports" cut-scenes to enjoy each time you've completed a task. And don't forget the "King" will continually help and guide you, as well as harass you for being a poor prince. That pretty much covers it, except for the fact that this game is EXTREMELY addicting. The music is continually stuck in my head... especially my now all time favorite quote from a certain song: "...I want to wad you up in my love". Simple yet very satifying gameplay, wonderful music, a dose of humor from the "King" make this a MUST HAVE for any gamer looking for something truly innovative and original. It's $20. Go buy it right now, or live in shame.
