You play as Jaws. You swim as Jaws. It's boring being Jaws. Not as bad as people say though.
Gameplay
In a rather senseless storyline, you go through holding taks, underwater cities, aquariums, beaches and stuff like that. You can attack boats, diver cages, even people having a swim out at the beach, which can be fun.
The story isn't very good, and the missions are quite tough, which is good, yet what's the point of playing a super-hard game when the missions don't seem to ultimately mean anything any way?
You can leap out of the water, tail whip, and all of that, which can be fun.
Then there's the camera...
Graphics
The graphics in Jaws: Unleashed are pretty awful, when you bite someone, some pretty poor blood shows. Overall the graphics aren't appealing at all, with some very jerky animations to go with that.
Worst of all though, is the camera. It has issues... when you enter a sunken ship, for instance, you may be stuck in there for a while, as you look at the outer part of the boat, yet a little cutaway, and well...any gamer has seen collision detection problems with cameras, and Jaws definately won the prize for some of the worst and most buggy cameras I've ever seen.
Sound
The sound is short of spectacular. Sure, when you take a swimmer below the surface between your teeth, you can hear them screaming, and little things like that. But the sound just sometimes isn't the best quality, so we`ll just call it a bit-below average...but not by much.
Overall
Overall Jaws is definately a game that you should and shouldn't get. I really wouldn't recommend it because of some camera issues once in a while, but it's definately a fun game to play, but I don't think it deserves the Worst Game of The Year. It's definately not a good game, but not the worst.
