The adventure continues in Jak II. A very different game from its predecessor, that has new features for Jak.

Jak II is the sequel to Jak and Daxter. The game has a darker, edgier tone to it, losing a little bit of it's kiddie image. But still the comedy is still there coming from the chatty Ottsel named Daxter. The game is longer than the original making it more challenging. Jak and his companions were dragged into the future, and then Jak was kidnapped by Baron Praxis, ruler of Haven City. With Daxter escaping, Jak was totured with dark eco for two years. And in those two years Daxter was looking for him until he found him in the torture chamber. Jak survived the experiment. Now hellbent on revenge he joins The Underground to fight against the Baron.

There are new features for Jak. Jak got a new makeover and has a badass attitude and sporting a goatee. Furthermore...he can talk! I will never understand why Jak was a mute in the previous game. The funny thing is that there are some subtle references in the Jak II game, after escaping Baron Praxis' Fortrees, they met an old man named Kor. Jak told him, "Where the hell I'm I? What I'm a doing here?" in a pissed off tone. Then Daxter told Kor. "I'm sorry, he's new to this whole conversation thing." Then a little later in the game Jak asked Torn if it was actually him. Then Daxter said, "Maybe he's a mute like you use to be." So those are a couple of references there.

He can fly cars. He can also cruise on a hoverboard. He can use a variety of guns, in which you can get when progressing further into the game. He collects dark eco instead of collecting a variety of coloured eco to possess a special power. When fully powered up he can wipeout armies of metal heads and other enemies with a dark power.

The bad part of the game is that it takes long sometimes to travel from one place to the next to start your mission, including the annoying traffic you have to get around in. Furthermore, if you accidentally plow through a Krimzon Guard with a hover vehicle, they would hunt you down and try to kill you for a while.

The CG is great along with its rich graphics in both CG and gameplay. The controls are quite simplistic and anyone can learn the game fast. Jak II is a must buy!
