Cute sequal, not!!

User Rating: 9 | Jak II: Renegade PS2
When Jak and Daxter came out, it had used the Crash Bandicoop formula and worked well. But it was way too cute. Now the this cute sequal will…. Whoa, this isn't the cute sequal to Jak and Daxter, this is awesome. Jak 2 brings the franchise back bigger and better than ever. The story starts with Jak and friends being teleported somewhere named Haven City. Just when they get there, Jak is knocked out and put in jail for 2 years. He's been experimented on with dark eco, and Daxter finally resuces him and learns right away that Jak isn't the same happy go luck guy, he's a bad-ass with attude who talks, yes Jaks says his first words(Jak: I'm gonna kill pracksis) ahh he wants revenge. Now this is great, the story also tells a tale full of emotion with the humor still there and it too is darker. Along with inpecable voice acting and more story related charcter that are sure to become fan favorate. Like Torn, the underground restance leader, or Ashlin, the underground spy, or Tess, who seems to have festiality on her side, and lets forget Sig, the bad-ass who will kick your ass if you f*(& with him. O.k, the gameplay has been up graded to a more GTA like feel. Unlike the last game, you won't be backtracking and doing silly to rediculus tasks. Your always going foword, and you can do different missions like in GTA. But, it's not a GTA clone. Sure you get the open world of GTA, but the Platforming, missions, and story telling is far from it. The newest thing in this game is for Jak to use guns. There are 4 in all and you have good choices, you'll get a shot gun, a blaster, and other upgrades that are better left un-spoiled, and since Jak has been exposed to Dark Eco, he can now turn into Dark Jak, a form where Jak can kill anything in his sight. The graphics are some of the best looking of the PS2. The PS2 is just breaking a sweat, hell there are only Blank outs before and after cut-scence and there short. The only problem with the game is that some of the missions can get very difficult, so be prepared to do some trial and error for a bit. But that aside, Jak 2 is infact a big time improvement
