The best in the J&D series.

User Rating: 9.5 | Jak II: Renegade PS2
Jak II follows right after the events of the Precursor Legacy as Jak, Daxter, Samos, and Keira, are experimenting with a machine called the Rift Ring. After pushing a button the Rift Ring turns on and small flying creatures fly out and the whole sky turns a light purple, a giant monster comes out of the Rift Ring and the craft that the 4 are on goes through it and end up in a new town called Haven City.

Jak is arrested and 2 years later Daxter frees him but something dark lies in Jak. From the first level onwards you can see that Jak II has changed from its predecessor, Jak talks, you get weapons instead of kicking and punching, and it is a 5x better game than the Precursor Legacy ever was.

Jak II is a mix between GTA, Tony Hawk, and Jak and Daxter. You can steal cars, freeroam, kill civilians, kill cops, and much much more. The chases that aren't even missions are by the far the best I have ever seen. The graphics are great and the sound is top-quality.

Every scene in this game are memorable, and so are the characters who you will actually care for in the game. There are around 65 missions, and the game will take a beginner to the game about 10-15 hours to beat.

The game is very challenging in some parts but the superb story makes you keep coming back for more. The story, to me, is almost like a 4 star movie quality story. This game is recommended for people 13 or over due to its very dark theme, violence, language, and its sometimes sexual behavior.

The combat is funner in this one, but the weapons are what make this game for what it is. You start out with a crummy shotgun, then to a blaster, machine gun, and finally to a charged gun called the Peacemaker.

You can level up Dark Jak by giving an oracle some Metal Head Skull Gems, you can make Dark Jak have powers such as invincibility, being a large Dark Jak and a few other ones.

Later in the game you'll get a Hoverboard which is an easy way to get around the city and also feels like you are playing a very good Tony Hawk game.

The game is hilarious at times especially the fights between Pecker and Daxter. This is one of the best games I have ever played and it will probably be the same for you. It also has some of the most biggest twists I have ever played to date.

The whole entire game is perfect quality. The last 2 hours are among the best levels I have ever played in a video game to date. It is a game you'll wanna keep playing forever and ever. A 9.5 out of 10.
