i liked this game alot, it had a lot of cool gameplay mechanics, and it was not as hard as people say it is! it was difficult but not that much... the city was too, ahh... "skinny" you could crash into walls and other cars because of the little space you could drive in but you could just drive low and run over citizens and gaurds, it make the game easier... the thing that realy pissed me off was the saving points! you can only save after you beat the whole level! it was very frustrating because the game is not easy so its frustrating to die just before you beat some level, and than you have to do the whole leve over again. even if the level was all about solving puzzles, you had to restart it after you die... aside from that, the game was excelent! another thing that was kind of stupid is that there are only 4 weapons, and only one of them is truly usefull! there is a shotgun, a laser gun, a laser minigun and a rocket launcher(the peacemaker) and you can beat the game using only the laser gun, its easy to handle, have very long range, have fast shooting and good combos there are a few parts where you kind of have to use other weapons, but there arent alot of these parts... cool thing about this game is the weapons and fighting combos, you can punch someone and right after that shoot and jak will do a punching+shooting combo that is very usefull! another thing i liked is the jet board, unlike in ratchet and clank, here, you can use your jet-board any time, anywhere! its more fun than just walking and the levels that you have to use the jet board in them are great! Dark Jak turning into dark jak was pretty useless, except for the dark bomb, where jak can jump and land a bomb (or something) of dark ecco that destroys everything in your sight the dark jak is pretty much the same thing like the devil trigger in devil may cry DAXTER you can play daxter in some parts of the game, but dont except a different kind of gameplay from daxter, its not like playing clank in ratchet and clank... daxter is pretty much jak with out the guns and dark ecco :P so it boils down to this- gameplay -9 very good, except for some of the city races and chases graphics- 8 the graphics were pretty normal for the most parts but there were parts when youre like stop for a minute just to say "wow! this game looks good!" (the levels in the jungle for example) sound- 8 good voice acting, nothing realy fancy other than that, but nothing bad neither value- 7 the game is difficult so it might take some time to beat it... plus its 20+ hours! (took me 22 hours) and there are a lot of side missions that you can do if you like (i didnt realy liked them) tilt- 9 the storyline is overrated, its got twists and stuff like that, but its nothing more than "pretty good" it was pretty funny so ill give the reviewer's tilt a 9! but, rent or forget about? rent it first... this game might be too hard for most of the gamers out there... but if you ilked jak and daxter, and you think you can handle hard games, get this game! its very cheap now!
