One of the biggest dissapointments ever....
I played jagged alliance 2 a lot, the game really is extremely good, just like all the nostalgic fans say it is.
This is just a piece of garbage.
no custom merc * u can get a mod, but it ruins immersion*
shop sells overpowered weapons from day one
snipers are useless, you can use the most expensive sniper rifle, on your master marksman, with the best scope there is, while prone and you will miss from 20 meters, while the AI mercs will kill him in a burst from a 600$ uzi from 30 meters away.
basicaly the computer just cheats hard, and it ruins immersion completely.
money is kinda useless since there are no wages, you just amass money and buy mercs and gear
AI is completely retarded, hence why they just cheat.
AI has no sense of tactic at all, they just storm you when they are attacking you on the map.
it's all about weapon RPM *rounds per minute* you can just full auto everything, which sounds retarded from a tactical point of view. JA2 was all about finesse.
the good parts :
game looks ok
it's not a complete waste of time.... but it gives you a heartache if you are looking for good gameplay
real time play is nice when you just want to storm a place
