Enjoyable time with fun super powers!

User Rating: 7 | inFamous: Second Son (Limited Edition) PS4

One way to describe InFamous: Second's Son third installation in the series - fun for the most part. There are some tedious moments in the point of doing the same side missions with each new location which are best broken apart while doing the main missions.

If you focus on the side missions only for the most of the time while ignoring the other parts of the game - it will get tedious. Mixing it up is the best way to enjoy the game. Graffiti a few areas, stop a gang activity, look for audio files, locate and destroy hidden cameras around the city, chase after the rogue spies, do some side missions and main missions.

Discovering new abilities and powers is always a welcome sight and it keeps the game fresh and fun. Streaming through the virtual Seattle at night time is absolutely gorgeous, especially with Neon powers.

The game itself doesn't take too long to finish, around 12 hours on average and little longer is you wish to collect all the shards, do all the repetitive side missions. The game uses a morality system, with good and evil choices which is recommended to have a second play-thought. This way you can unleash all of your powers without worries about citizens of good karma. Let lose and have a mayhem.

InFamous: Second Son looks beautiful, gorgeous particle effect will make you stop many times and use the Photo mode. Crisp and clean textures, FPS cap optional for steady frames. Overall, it's a great looking game.

The main protagonist Delsin Rowe starts off as immature unlikable young man who is trying to run away and not get into trouble from his older brother Reggie who happens to be a Police officer. The story has its moments while starting slow builds up by the end of the game. The premise is simple, so called bio-terrorists or as they prefer to call themselves the Conduits have different types of power that naturally separates them from the rest of the "normal" Seattle folks.

Just like the first two InFamous games, the citizens are fearful and the government has the solution. In this case commanded by Augustine - a powerful conduit herself led by the army type of unit that keeps all of the bio-terrorists locked up in her paws convincingly to her ideals of peace and justice.

Delsin's main ability can leach any conduit powers to himself as long as he can have a simply touch or a handshake with the said individual. To end the evil regime of Augustine, Delsin needs her power to stop her. This plays out in different ways. That's the premise.

Overall, if you're looking for good super hero type of game, Second Son fun abilities are worth playing through, once you get passed the tedious repetitive side missions you have a decent story and fun gameplay on your side that's worth playing.
