"inFAMOUS: Second Son" is a game that tries to hard to be flashy and less on having a good plot.

WARNING: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SLIGHT SPOILERS.

Hey guys. I know, I haven't written a review in ages, but come on! I'm trying to live life outside of the internet! Be proud.

Anyways, I wanted to do a review on "inFAMOUS: Second Son" because I loved the first 2 entries so much. So, let's get this show on the road!

"inFAMOUS: Second Son" tells us the story about a vandal burnout named Delsin, who is in a modern day Native-American tribe, who gets smoke powers from a prisoner who was a conduit. Then, some crazy lady with cement powers who is much more powerful than Delsin maims the entire tribe, and so Delsin and his brother, Reggie set out to Seattle, so that Delsin can get more powerful to defeat the crazy cement lady.

Do you realize how familiar that sounds? That is literally a carbon copy of the plot from "inFAMOUS 2"! In that game, Cole has to get more powerful to defeat a giant named "The Beast". This plot makes me think that Sucker Punch is simply running out of ideas at this point. Just because you changed the name of the main character and the setting of the game doesn't mean that it's a different plot.

The gameplay in this game is almost exactly the same as the past entries in the "inFAMOUS" series. However, you get more powers as you progress in the game, including neon, video, and in the end, cement. So yeah, more powers, but the powers are stupid! Wouldn't you think something like fire powers, or something like that?

So, overall, "inFAMOUS: Second Son" is an extremely mediocre game that I had to muster the courage to beat. The story/powers in the game didn't interest me in the slightest, and I just wish they had continued Cole's story somehow, because Delsin is just not an interesting character. He's super cliche, and that goes for his brother as well. I give this game a 4/10.
