Might have worked as a movie.... but not as a video game.

It look me about 5 minutes just to formulate my opening line, because there really is nothing to review here. This is presumably a game with no game-play. The first of its kind.

The main problem, i guess, is because your actions have no effect on how the story ends. All decisions made during the course of the game and just cosmetic, with no other purpose than niche appeal. Its just mindless twaddle to pass the time between the opening sequence and the game's ending. Mind you, even the game's ending wasn't as spectacular as I had expected. I'll get to that later.

Secondly, the story revolves around the whole supernatural element. While that's not a bad thing in most games, its a totally unnecessary addition to the plot, that only serves to make the rest of it look even more absurd than before. At the start of the game, it was shows as if the main protagonist had lost his mind in an unexplained burst of rage, killing an innocent civilian. Up until halfway or so, it was somewhat unclear as to why he did it, or what caused him to go mad. A bit after the halfway point, I was introduced to the whole supernatural **** as if saying "well we kinda ran out of ideas on how to continue the plot so we chose the easy way out", immediately followed by the main character pulling previously unknown superpowers out of his rectum. The notion only gets higher when getting towards the end, with extreme scenes, like when his apartment is being torn apart by some unknown super powers, and ultimately leading to a piss poor and boring last boss fight, that even an 8 year old autistic quadruple amputee child, could beat by face-rolling on his keyboard for a few seconds.

I guess this could have worked as a movie, since this game is mainly composed of button mashing sequences, with no actual game-play, except at the end. Probably A very bad movie, but at least it wont be a total waste of time.
