I-Ninja may not present itself very well but it more than makes up for it with extremely smooth gameplay and variety.

I-Ninja is all about the gameplay. From the time you pick it up, to the time you put it down, all you want to do is hack and slash some ranx. The platforming is very smooth and the speed running is intuitive. Part Sonic, part Mario, part Prince of Persia, part Marble Madness, I-ninja successfully pulls off the platform/beat-um up/shooter/ball sim combination.

The graphics are acceptable, and the voice over acting at times can be cheesy and bad, but again none of that matters when you are playing a game so easy to pick up and enjoy. The music is forgettable and the story is almost nonexistent. Ninja, (the character) is interesting but the story is so generic that it is not worth mentioning.

Not only is this a great platform game, but it has many different types of levels that a nice spice to the otherwise repetitive gameplay. On some levels you will need to transport a beachball type eye ball or other body part by rolling it down corridors. These are by far the hardest parts of the game. There are also levels where you man a gun turret and shoot at enemies. Probably the most bizarre variation in the game is in the first level when you get to compete in a robot boxing match.

Its not a terribly long game but it does have several side missions on each level that could keep you playing for days. If you are looking for a great game to bridge the gap you have between hit titles pick up I-Ninja, it will be well worth your cash.
