Co-op horror action is where its at!

User Rating: 7 | Hunter: The Reckoning Wayward PS2
Hunter provides very entertaining co-op, which alone, is worth the price of admission; As of now, you can easily find this game under discount for a mere 10 bucks.

Nothing is more satisfying then partnering up with a buddy [ Unless your more of a antisocial type of gamer :P] and taking on the masses of the undead. There are different character types, which allows for you to utilize each one of their unique aspects, to help yourself and a teammate effectively.

The game has RPG elements of upgrading powers to either do more damage or provide more defense, which can be obtained naturally by killing opponents. On top of that, each character has their own stats which can be upgraded; Such as aiming precision, stamina, speed, strength, and etc.

The controls are responsive and fluid, one analog stick is for your directional movement, while the other is used to rotate the upper half portion of your character, for aiming; So it adds that FPS feeling, while being confined to 3rd person view. The camera also is set naturally at a broad scope of the environment, so you can see action from all degrees, but conveniently zooms in when the action is more uptight.

In the end, it is highly enjoyable, hack and slash, horror styled, action game. The enemy types are challenging, bosses are gruesome, and it has depth to break up the monotony. My only gripe is the short length of the title, which, as stated, is less then the norm of 10-15 hours. So if you plan to check it out on single player, I recommend just a rental, but for 10 bucks, you can add another multi-player to your collection.
