This game is meant for the film, yet it stems beyond what the film lacked.

User Rating: 7.5 | Hulk PS2
What I was describing in the Review Deck was that this game is promoting the film (by Ang Lee), yet the plot has nothing to do with the movie's story, with only a somewhat post-story about the film and several references, aspects and appearances towards the film. Otherwise this game has it's own plot, and the game has it's ups and downs.

Story: 8.5 (A surprisingly good story despite being commercialized for the film, yet being a good story at best, even with characters and plot lines from the comic books)
Graphics: 7.5 (Decent graphics, but quite typical and dull areas while the visuals throughout the game appear quite well)
Music: 7 (Decent, nothing great to talk much about honestly)
Controls: 8.5 (The controls do what they're meant to do, that's all that can be said)
Sound: 7 (Eric Bana "reprises" his role as Bruce Banner, and every other character has an average to decent voice, while the sound effects of items and elements are average to tolerable)

The story starts out as Bruce Banner having a nightmare as "The Hulk", while he receives a phone call from a former mentor and professor Dr. Crawford, who seems to know about Banner's alter ego and claims to have a cure for him, and tells him to infiltrate a lab overrun with military in order to find the cure known as the "gamma orb", and the story plays out and eventually expands into something actually interesting, which may have players want to keep playing.

The game-play has two distinct features as the player plays as both The Hulk and as Bruce Banner. While The Hulk's game-play always revolves around combat and destruction, so basically all that is necessary is to fight and destroy while playing as The Hulk. While playing as Banner, stealth is always necessary, and combat is very minor and is never the main option when playing as Banner, and this can be very difficult at times, despite a good change of pace in this game, the levels are pretty much unnecessary, as most people who play this game, don't really care much for Banner (most likely, anyway)

The game is decent, and it is commendable for going beyond the film and actually focusing on the comic books, which is always a good thing for fans of The Incredible Hulk. This is worth the rent, at least for fans of the super hero, otherwise this game is ignorable.
