It's a fun game, but it's just not quite there...

User Rating: 8 | Homefront X360
I am going to talk about the graphics, multiplayer, and singleplayer of Homefront. I will probably also offend some gamers in this little review.

Graphics.
I want to make it clear that the graphics for Homefront really aren't that bad. Of course, they aren't as good as some current games, but they still look great. I don't know what kind of podunk monitors some people are playing this game on to think it looks as bad as they say it does. Plus, graphics don't make, or break a game... gameplay does, dur!

Multiplayer.
I don't care what anybody says, the multiplayer gameplay is very entertaining. The battlepoint system is pretty interesting, and actually works quite well. In fact, now that people are getting the hang of the online gameplay, battles can get very exciting with tanks blowing crap up, helicopters flying around, and missiles crashing down from every direction.

Singleplayer.
I've heard the singleplayer is pretty short, but lets be honest... who buys FPS games for the singleplayer? Though, besides the campaign being short lived, it is engaging, interesting, and entertaining. The beginning of the campaign, I feel, was depicted very well, and really gives you the feeling of what a harsh occupation in America would probably be like.

I will not go as far as saying that Homefront is the worst game of 2011. Whoever says that, obviously hasn't played Two Worlds 2, or Dragon Age 2. However, I will go as far to say that Homefront is good, but it could have been better. No, I won't label it a CoD killer. Not because I like CoD, but because I think CoD is overrated and am quite disappointed that it is the industry standard. I personally think BBC2 kicks the crap out of any CoD game. :)

To sum up Homefront. It is a fun game, that should be sold for $45.
