Brilliant, simply brilliant.

User Rating: 9.2 | Hitman: Blood Money PS2
Let me start off by saying that I had previously played a Hitman game and hated it becasue I didn't get it. I did not understand how to play, so I returned it to the rental store and never looked back. Then I saw some user videos of this game and said, "hey, this looks kind of cool, maybe I'll give it shot." And I haven't looked back since. Gameplay: Great, you can do just about anything, go anywhere. I wish you could jump. And being the Splinter Cell fan that I am, the back to the wall move in SC would've come in useful a few times in this game. But oh well, it wouldn't have made a difference, really. Just would've looked cool. Even 47's walk was cool. I liked walking in, taking out my target, and walking out. I loved customizing weapons. You could really turn your silver ballers into a pretty sweet set-up, with silencers, scopes, double ammo capacity, laser sight, and rapid fire. The sniper rifle rocked. You could turn that into one heck of a silent killing machine. I loved watching 47 put it together. You could also "collect" other weapons from fallen foes, or that were laying around and take them back to your hide-out to try them out. Most of the collected weapons were not practical to take into a level as a primary weapon, but were fun to use. You could upgrade your weapons by completing levels and acheiving a certain rank, like Silent Assassin. You get a certain amount of money for the different ranks, and if you changed outfits, and didn't bother going to get it before you left the level, you were penalized. Sneaking around was fun, too. Get right up behind some poor, unsuspecting soul, and give a shot of sedatives right to the neck, strangle him with your fiber wire, or grab him as a "human sheild", then knock him out, and stash the body. Or just push them into a wall and knock them out! I could go on and on, but I won't.

Graphics: Really good, they're not PS3 or 360 graphics, but they are still really good. You can set the game to 480P, if you have the right connections and tv, that helps it a bit as well. I loved how blood would spray out out when you gave someone a good ol' head shot. Or even funnier, when you shot those guys in the bird costumes in A Murder of Crows. Sound: Was surprisingly good. The classical/opera type music really gave this game a touch of class, rather than some synthisized heavy metal guitar solo crap. Silenced shooting sounded cool too. The voice acting was good and believable. There were some pretty funny lines in the game too, if you listened close enough. Lot's of music, dance clubs, etc. I have my PS2 hooled up to my surround sound, so it really makes you feel like you're there.

Value: I gave it a 10, I've beat the game, but I love going back and playing levels over again, experimenting with what weapon works in what situation the best. Maybe no weapons? There were a few I went through with nothing, and got a SA rating. In fact, when I'm done writing this review, I'm going to play this game again. There's no one right way to beat this game, and at about $20.00 right now, you can't go wrong.
