With the lack of rpg's for the playstation portable, its nice to see a game that makes you feel that it was worth the money you spent. And that is exactly the feeling you will get the minute you start to play Hexyz Force. This game delivers in many ways, with the power to choose between two main characters from the very beginning, to the amazingly animated cut scenes and the brilliantly voiced battles and colorful and unique characters, rpg fans of all ages are sure to love the beauty that is Hexyz Force. From the beginning you can choose between two distinctly different characters; The young Knight Lavant, or the Cleric Cecilia. Both stories are unique with its own set of allies and a story that only when you have played with both characters, you get the true understanding. One major aspect that makes this game shine is that there are NO random encounters, all enemies can be seen on the screen, which is ideal if you want to run away to heal up first before you get into a fight. The overall story of this game is of a divine nature. You (whether you choose the boy or girl) are what is known as a Hexyz; individuals who have inherited the powers of the Divinities; mystical beings from the time of creation. With your powers, you must help guide the world either to a future of creation or destruction. (Talk about no pressure right) And along the way, you will be promted with choices that have an affect on the flow of the game. With that said, Hexyz force is a must play. 10/10
