A fascinating look at mental illness that can be confusing to some

I just completed the game. And it was an interesting journey. I suffer from mental illness and though it's not psychosis some of the themes explored in the game I identified with. The representation of how people with mental illness see the world was done in a way that shows that the world is not all symmetrical and in order. There are times when I see the world in a different way to a 'normal' person. And it's difficult to explain it to them. They don't want to accept it because they think it's just in my head and that I'll 'get over it'. They don't understand. There is no 'getting over it'. It's not a disease that can be cured. It's an illness that can only be treated. It's because people like myself have a chemical imbalance in our brains and the only way to help that is to be treated with medicine.

Well done to Ninja Theory for making a game that brings mental illness out into the light. It's still not fully understood but this game goes some way to making people more aware of the affliction that so many of us live with every day.
