This game messed up on what was true potential, but can still be fun, just dont buy it.
You have to compare this game to Phoenix Wright in my opinion because that was the base model for this games flow. However one segment of PW feels in actuality the length of one entire case. The talking system is downgraded and the investigation itself isnt merely find the clues but actually feels like I am being grabbed by the hand through this process so that as I "examine" all I am really doing is selecting among the available items I can examnine rather then looking through the room.
The cases are complete let downs compare to the thrill, though linear feel of the PW games. It lacks the feel of victory, or the intesity that I almost simulates an upcoming battle of wills between the prosecution and the defense. (I know what you are going to say, this is a Birdman game dont take it too seriously.) However, half the fun with this game should have been rubbing the evidence in the witness face and feeling like you just slapt them with something hard that you feel good.
Another fault is that the oposing lawyers lack a unique feel to them...need I say more, they feel bland and have almost no presence in the cases but merely seem to be there for a formality. And this is also bad because in the tv series, each lawyer brings so much with them, wether it was Reducto sayuing "BACK OFF!" or Freezoid saying "I WILL FREEZE YOUR ***!" Without them, it feels more like Harvey is in the court solo.
Story wise, each one sets up a good premise, but as the plot may or may not pick up, it skips to an ending.
What is good? This game is extremely funny. And I mean EXTREMELY FUNNY if not for mere short moments before each case ends. And that is half the shame for the game being so short, this could have been a real great game. I am talking one awesome game that would have been worth buying and the games delay and then some.
However it failed in so many ways yet did some things right, I wish I could give this game I higher score, and since Gaqmespot changed the scoring system I had to give it a 7 but I really think it deserves 7.4
