This is my first Harvest Moon game and I must admit I was quite quickly suck into it. I have nothing against repeating some duties every day like milking or watering plants. Still, it easier than in the real world:) Graphics are not that bad - in comparison with other Harvest Moon games even awesome. Music - hmmm. I turned it down completely very fast and not because of saving the battery. It is repetitive and annoyed me. The plt is simple but there are additional small games. This is the first game with a nice fishing and I enjoyed all that huge variety of fish available according to season and place.
The characters in the game are all well done and likable. Unfortunately I have noticed too late that I missed some events. And then I started playing with the guide - walk-through (call it as you want). Too late :( This is one of these games you have to play by the book otherwise you miss a looot. Still, I had fun - and missing those events means that I will have a reason to play it again in the near future. This time with a proper list where and when I should go and to who I should talk.
The second part of the game is a bit boring and disappointing. Nothing is going on in the 3rd year. Sure you can get married or buy a new Tv - but that is practically all.
Anyway - first two years are enough.
