An addictive farming RPG, at least for the first 20 hours or so.

User Rating: 8.6 | Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life GC
In Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life it’s your job to take care of your own farm and ultimately raise a family while doing it. This game is very addictive for about 20 hours and after that it’s terribly boring.

Graphics are simple and nowhere near realistic, but it has a personality and style with a bright color palette. Every character you meet has his or her own graphical look and personality as well, so prepare yourself to get to know them as years go by. Sound effects on the other hand are not very good and the music just isn’t all that interesting. This is made worse by the fact that in Nintendo style there is no voice acting and all the conversations are done with texts. At some point it just gets old.

Gameplay offers LOTS of variety in what you can be doing with your time in Forget-Me-Not Valley. As it is a farm you’ll have to perform many day to day activities regularly and at the same time take care of yourself by sleeping and eating. Actually you don’t really HAVE TO do anything and there is just no way to die or lose in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. The game folds in a way you choose to play it.

There is just so many different things to do in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life that mentioning them all would just be a spoiler, but in my opinion the best part is growing trees and then making hybrids between different seeds. It will take you hours and hours to try every single combination of seeds you can think of.

Unfortunately somewhere after 20 hours or so the game stops being fun and starts to be just boring. This is because after that there is absolutely nothing new for you to do or to explore, but there is still about another 20 hours for you to play.

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is a memorable experience for you to check out, but be prepared that you might not want to play it all the way through.
