Its looks like Megaman Legends or Wind waker and that's a good thing cartoony style has its own unique charm makes the whole experience feel more cheery and less like emofest *cough* final fantasty 7
Background environments are NOT bland ! they're pretty good to look at like the mountain and the theme park its not "bland" in any sense just because its cartoony doesn't mean its bland it just means you have bad taste.
All the characters are quirky and have distinctive personalities they're not like dora the explorer type of bland.

Voice acting is NOT annoying ! don't believe me ?? its done by tara strong who voiced harley in batman arkham city, bubbles from power puff girls and Raven from teen titans !
If you haven't watched these shows you HAVE NO CHILDHOOD BOO !! and apparently she also voiced Twilight Sparkle.

Its kinda mellow and childish mixed with J-pop.. its kinda like digimon adventure.

The story is simply wacky and pretty straight forward which is kinda disappointing to me because i was expecting more than that after i started playing it extensively

ARPG at its best ! this is my ideal RPG game.. level grinding doesn't feel like a chore and enemies aren't too hard or too easy and are genuinely challenging
The core gameplay is just fun you have lots of combos for your drill and the game is surprising challenging because its made by one of the greatest RPG makers of all time there is also lots of customization in this game you can also upgrade you weapon and equip items it has puzzle solving and decent platforming sections though it is annoying to use the camera while platforming on a psp it might be easier in a vita.
Replay value is great in this game you have lots of outfits to unlock and Boss Rush mode is also fun addition to the game.

If you have a PSVita/PSP and you're looking for a fun adventure game you can pick this game up !! its pretty fun unless you hate anything colorful or wacky in that case you're just a total emo who doesn't have a sense of humor !
