Guitar Hero World Tour for PC could have been that much more, but unfortunately isn't.

Well, after spending a few hours playing the game and designing an endless amount of guitars I thought it's time for a review.

First off, the port quality. The quality of the port is about the same as Guitar Hero 3, maybe a little better optimized. At least once in every song I experienced some lag or hiccups, it's extremely annoying and may cause you to miss a note or two. It does so even at lower settings/resolution.

The game looks very good with all settings turned on, the texture looks very sharp and the lightning is amazing. Unfortunately there's some problems with the physics (for example, the hair of you character going nuts.).

The songlist is very large but (in my opinion) does only contain a few really good songs. Also looses point for the game forcing you to play a certain venue when playing songs by Tool. One MAJOR letdown (although not a surprise) is the absence of DLC, my favourite part of the original game on the Xbox 360/PS3 was the ability to download songs to extend your library, so it's very dissapointing to see that it didn't make it's way to the PC version.

And finally, it recieves a big plus for the gameplay quality. You can play all the instuments (except vocals obviously) on the keyboard, can't change keymapping though. Any USB-microphone will work fine, but the vocals in-game feels a bit unresponsive to be honest.

To sum things up, it's a great game and features very good graphics and a good setlist, but the lag and lack of dowloadables is a dissapointment. (Still a lot better than GH3 though)
