This was my first guitar hero and for any n00b it shuldn't be
Pros
The songlist, the first one to have mostly masters and a lot of them are actually great with different genres (metal, being most dominant) and the quality of the few covers was great (I don't no why any music game can't get ZZ top masters) quality and the differences were minor.
The guitar, this is by far the BEST music game guitar ever bundled with one of these games, the strum bar is nice and it actuall has a removalbe neck (why that matters I don't no the guitars are portalbe enough)
For some this might be but fr me I honestly didn't give a crap, but playing as Tom Morrello from Rage against the Machine and Slash from Guns n' Roses, for me these were people that I didn't really care to play as and this is still happening even now ( Guitar hero 5 with Kurt Cobain) and seem to be the only original thing this has going for it.
Cons
I don't no why but Guitar hero games always have to share songs with rock band and there was 2 many that are in both (Missisipi Queen, when you were young) and those are understandable why those are in a BAND game but they should have chosen more guitar based songs well considering that this is GUITAR hero.
The difficulty,(if you have somewhat of a life you will find this negative) like as I said this was my first Guitar hero and it's not a great one to start out on. I progressed to hard (but really expert in the other games) and it was like Expert in the first games I mean it had the most useless of notes and I no I should be forgiving cause it's Neversoft's first guitar hero but seriously not this F'n hard, really it couldn't have been as hard as the second one (which was perfect by the way) But seriously I can't say enough about it lie it has the practice mode from the last game but that barely helps it is THAT hard.
That it`s only a guitar game, this came out at the same time as rock band, a much better rock music game and that every thing after this Neversoft would rip off of rock band having no originality to the series other than the minor play as celebrities feature.
Overall if this goes down to like no more than $30 get it if you REALLY want a hard-ass game get it
