This game kicks ass...
Gameplay:
In the game, you use the replica guitar to hit the fret buttons in time with the displayed buttons on the screen, which of course goes with the beat of the song. This gameplay mechanic, although simple, is very immersive and feels realistic like you are actually playing a real guitar (i'd know, i play electric + accoustic :P) Not to mention that the setlist is kick ass! (well most of it) You might even be singing along to the songs Graphics:
Awesome, the charaters have been refined to beauty and look the part. The addition of those little extras such as background effects + the throwing of bottles just add to the rocking atmosphere too. Although pushing the ps2 nowhere near its limits the game's are looks stunning. If you are a rocker you'll love it
Sound:
Sound? Basically a killer setlist! With classics such as Sweet Child 'O' Mine and 'Freebird' you'll probably be singing along to the songs! Some of the songs don't quite fit in... *cougth* JORDON *cougth* *cougth* FREEZEPOP *cougth*
Believe me, some of the unlockables + tracks stick out like a sore thumb, which kinda sucks.... but still a killer setlist just been marred by modern c**p IMHO

Nearly unlimited, If you like guitar solos and Rock like i do, most of the tracks are just perfect to listen to over + over again. If you don't like the classics... STAY AWAY! But who doesn't?

Guitar Hero II is 1 of the most innovative ryhtmn games to come along in a while, if faced with a pick between 1 + 2, i'd go along with 2 because the setlist is hell of a lot better!
Got a ps2? U need to own guitar hero 2!
