Way Better than World Tour

Kicked back and forth about GH5 or Beatles RB, my wife said it is a no brainer and we got GH5 last night. Played with my original GH "bandmates" from back in the day and it felt like old GH - Fun again. You get 85 songs, can import your DLC into the gameplay, and you can import 35 World Tour Songs into the game. So right there you have 120 songs plus whatever DLC stuff you got. Then they go ahead and give you the full Van Halen game.
Aside from an a**load of songs, the animations are way better than they were. No stupid lobby like World Tour, people can just jump in, song selection is pretty good (White Stripes-Blue Orchid and Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire stuck in head all day today), you can play the same instruments, venues are cool, it's good.
I think they had to throw everything they had including the kitchen sink to keep from being buried by Beatles RB.
Bottom line, it's fun, setlist is good, animations are good, it's more geared toward party play and it will last awhile cause there are more songs then I ever thought they'd give away.
Only downside I see is you gotta send off your boxtops for Van Halen. You don't just get a game in hand.
Critics are giving it a 9, but I don't know about those, I think alot of those guys are walking around in free leather GH5 jackets this winter. I'll give it a 9 though, thought it is good.
