This is a Superb Improvement from the First Game! Hockey Fans you must get this game!
First off the positives:
* Load times have improved, very fast when loading a new game.
* Graphics are still a bit pixelated, but there a few minor upgrades in player/goalie animation.
* A. I. has improved on all fronts, the players don't skate past the puck like complete idiots as much and it's a lot tighter as far as gameplay is concerned.
* The menu system is a lot faster and slicker looking. Looks very cool when the animated info bars and menus come up.
* Play by play commentary is a nice touch.
* Goalies can actually catch the puck this time and freeze the play.
* "Wayne" time is a bit like playing an arcade game but it's a nice mode of play when you want to have a different kind of fun.
* Lots of on ice strategy options this time around for various plays.
* The gameplay is very tight and feels just right when skating, shooting and passing the puck.
* Some new unlockables like large or small players.
The cons:
* Graphics are not the best on the PSP, but I'd rather have quick, smooth gameplay than pretty images any day.
* Audio commentary can be a little delayed but it's nothing major to complain about.
* No new music from current artists. Just instrumental techno tunes. I was hoping for new alternative rock tunes.
