Rockstar Games never fails to Deliver a Classic Grand Theft Auto

User Rating: 8 | Grand Theft Auto V PS3

I Don't have too many complaints about GTA 5. GTA is the 1st GTA in the series to feature 3 Main Playable Protagonists in The story instead of 1. All 3 Characters have something about them that's Different and unique. They all have thier own Style and Personality, and Fashion. What I Liked was the return of The Ballas, and Vagos Gangs. As a Hardcore GTA Fan, that was exciting to me. Too bad CJ, Sweet, and other San Andreas characters didn't make a return. Oak Grove Street gang has apparently been re-branded as CGF (chamberlain Gangsta Families), which REALLY pissed me off, but they are featured in GTA 5, but don't play as big of a role in the story, and in the game in general as San Andreas to my disappointment. I was also excited to see Packie McCreary from GTA 4 make a return in GTA 5, but sadly he's only a minor character, but can still be used in Heist missions, and he is very useful. Michelle/Karen made a Cameo appearance in one of the missions, and The Liberty Paper Contact makes a return, this time as a Minor Villain/Antagonist in The game, but dies in a Shoot-out mission in The game with Michael (Unless you manage to get Past him that is).As a Hardcore GTA Fan, all these returns we're exciting to me. I enjoyed the story. the only Problem is the Story is Noticeably shorter than all the stories in the Previous GTA titles with only 69 Story-Line missions. Another problem with The Story mode was the Conclusion. As Franklin, you have the option to Kill Michael, to Kill Trevor, or to Kill The Antagonists Steve Haines, Devin Weston, and Mr. Chang. It should NEVER be an Option to kill one of The Main Playable Hero/Protagonist of the story because they are the STAR, and that's just stupid, and it doesn't make any Fuckin sense PERIOD, plus it eliminates the possibility of Michael or Trevor making a possible appearance in future GTA releases, but at least you have the option to still Keep Trevor, and Michael alive in the end, and on good terms. Another thing that pissed me off was Trevor killing Johnny Klebitz (The Main Protagonist of GTA Lost and Damned, and a Character in GTA 4) in his Introduction mission. This would upset ANY Hardcore GTA Fan, but please don't let these Flaws in the story stop you from enjoying the game, and everything else it has to offer. Though I was hoping for a much Longer, and more On-going Story, it was still interesting, and fully engaging. Another thing I found kinda disappointing was that all 3 Characters have the same Fighting/ Combat Style. Since all 3 Characters come from Different backgrounds, and have Different Personalities, They should have Different Combat Systems, and Certain Different Weapon Choices. I would like to have had 3 Different Experiences with 3 Different characters, but however, they each had a Special ability. The only problem with that is that it kind of takes away from the realistic feeling aspect of the game, but at the same time comes in handy, and is useful in Tough Missions. Also, Missions are less frustrating due to the fact that when you Fail a mission, you have the option to restart from the last checkpoint of the mission on the spot rather than being forced to start the entire mission over again from the very beginning, which was one of the most annoying things about GTA 3, San Andreas, and GTA 4. One more Annoying thing about the game is the Police system. Trying to escape from and avoid the Police is twice as annoying and frustrating than GTA 4. The Online mode was very different, and has so much more to offer than the GTA 4 Online mode had. Unlike GTA 4 online, GTA 5 Online has an Open-World Free-roam, and bigger and better social experience. you can free roam through Los Santos with your Friend online, and do whatever you want. you can do missions together, rob stores, purchase clothes, cars, weapons, houses, and garages for your online character. thier are 700+ Missions, and ther is a Ranking system to boost your character. Though it is Time, and Patience consuming, but still fun. one of my concerns is The Limiting of Clothing options, and styles for your character, and limited modeling options when creating your online character. The bodies all look the same, and the clothes all fit the same on every character. If you want your character to look more Muscular look, or to have a more Rocker-style, or Gangster-style look, or something, then your in for a disappointment. you'll have to work with what you got, and what your options are, but everything else is good, and online has so much to offer, and you are highly encouraged to explore them. The Map is very large, and thier is a lot to do whether your racing, having a death match, robbing Corner stores and Liquor stores, getting involved in Gang Shoot-outs, or just chilling, and cruising around the city in a Car, Plane, or helicopter with a Friend, or Friends, hanging out in Strip Clubs getting a lap dance or getting drunk, chilling in your apartment watching Tv., Smoking Weed, Drinking, or whatever, or showing your friend your garage, and the cars you collected, or you can just cause trouble in the city like most GTA Fans like to do. It's hard not to like GTA 5. The game has so much to offer. I give the game an 8.9, and I highly recommend it.
