This is the best racing game of its time.
Gameplay: This game has a lot of gameplay to offer. The career mode has a lot in it. So you first start out by getting a car, and you've got a lot to choose from with varying prices. You can tune those cars up and take them into tournaments and races. But you can’t go into all races yet, you’ll need to first get licenses so you’re qualified to race in them. As time goes on you can get into more races, and there are many different maps to race on and you can get more cars to drive. Driving itself is a wonder, the realism in the sounds and turning are phenomenal. That’s just the career mode, then there’s the racing mode, where you can race computers, or play with friends. They also have replay theater, where you can watch all your saved replay, so the game has a LOT to offer, and it’ll keep you busy for a long time.
Graphics: The graphics are amazing, compared to many other Playstation games out there, this is one of the best. The cars look great, the racetracks are beautiful. This is a great game just to look at.
Sound: As if the cars didn’t sound good enough, add some good music to the background and you’ve got yourself some awesome sounds in a game. It really can’t get any better.
Replay Value: The replay value is very good, you’ll always try to beat the game in alternative ways, and you’ll be trying to beat many old records. Once you've had enough of the career mode, you can go race bots, or friends, and test all the different cars. This will add hours of fun.
Tilt: Definitely deserving a lot of credit, everyone should try this game out, just to give the driving simulation a test. If it wasn't for this game, I probably wouldn't have played all those other great car games, including this games sequels. So if there's one game you're looking for, for you Playstation, you have to get this game.
