I sold my PS2 back in the mid 2000s. I had played a ton of A-Spec, and played some Gotham Racing, but nothing compared to A-Spec. It was the other games that took me away from Sony. Fast forward to 2014, when I got PS4, as I got back into gaming. One of the reasons I bought PS4 was because of the Gran Turismo Series.
Even tho the PS4 exclusives like Bloodborne and Nioh made getting a PS4 worth it, I'm still angry that GT Sport is not a real Gran Turismo game! Polyphony Digital never told us that there would be initially no campaign mode, or that one would be added, but with little reward, other than money and miles toward the "Car of the Day" thing they got. I miss getting licenses, tons of cars, and a real track variety.
Nonetheless, because the game is one of the few racing games for PS4 that is not a Need For Speed (which post Most Wanted, are lame), I can't trash it. The online mode is still pretty good, tho I'd love an online arcade mode with no time penalties. Because its a real racing game, I will say that the physics are great, and it is nice to be back shifting gears in a race game, finding corners, etc.
