They certainly added a ton of options for you to choose, but they forgot to put in a decent engine to go with it.

This game is one of the most detailed and thorough racing games that I have played, and I have played quite a few, but the actuall racing events themselves feel very jerking, unresponsive, and stiff. The cars don't feel like you are driving them, but rather as though they are on a straight track, and you are trying to wrench them in the direction you want them to go. Comparing this game to Need For Speed Underground, or Project Gotham Racing, all which came out around the same time, this game simply feels as though the main emphasis was on the menus and the sheer number of cars they could have, rather than the experience of driving them. If doesn't make it a terrible racer, it just means that it is hard to get into, and I find myself playing for half and hour before putting in a different game that draws me in better.
