He's big. He's bad. He's brought a friend. He's repetitive.

At the time I first bought this game, I thought it was GREAT! Now, I realize the truth. It's a gimmick, repeated over and over again. The gimmick is fun, but it gets repetitive fast.

You get to play as either Godzilla or Mothra. Godzilla can claw, kick, swing his tail, and breathe his radioactive breath. Mothra can fly making him quicker and more maneuverable, shoot red crap out of his face, and has a wing-bombing power of some kind.

The levels consist of a grid of hexagons which you can move 2 to 4 spaces at a time (depending on which monster you're playing as). Each hexagon is a short level you must fight through, and there's LOTS of them. You could play for quite awhile if you wanted to clear each hexagon per planet; but you don't have to. You only need get from the left side of the board to the right, and bust up the main alien facility at the end.

On your way to the facility, you'll meet up with boss monsters that are making their way toward you.

Once you make your way past a grid, you move on to the next planet (starting from Earth, heading to Pluto and beyound) to do the same thing. Over, and over. There's a small variety of terrain which increases as you move from planet to planet, as do the number of boss monsters on each planet.

What's good?
- You get to control 2 monsters.
- You get to fight lots of boss monsters.
- Godzilla looks pretty good.
- There's a leveling up system; after so much "experience" your life and power bar will increase.

What could have been better?
- Poor variety. Yes there's lots of game-play available, but there's not a lot of variety with anything. The planets don't differ too much. There's different types of terrains, but most don't differentiate the experience. There's also very little difference in the boss fights. Lots of monsters to go up against, but not a whole lot of difference in tactics. It's an unfortunate example of Wash-Rinse-Repeat. And repeat. And repeat. And repeat. And repeat.
- The repetition gets worse, because both Mothra and Godzilla have to get to the end. This means that if you fight your way through the entire level using just Godzilla, you're going to have to do it again with Mothra.
- The password system. OH MY GOODNESS! It's one of those unbelievably long passwords of random letters and numbers. What a PAIN!

A good idea, and fun for a little while, but it goes on for far too long.
