After playing the first God of War in the Norse saga I couldn't wait to see more of this story. God of War:Ragnarok surpassed my expectations and then some by taking what the first game had built and expanding it. Both of these games are definite must plays!
Story: 10/10
God of War's story is one of the most dramatic and emotional stories I have ever played. As we watch the events of Ragnarok begin to unfold, the world and the characters in them begin to change for better or worse. Although some time has passed between the games it feels to almost pick up right where the original started.
Score: 9/10
The music is incredible and does an amazing job of pulling you into the story that takes place through all nine realms.
Characters/Character Development:10/10
It's God of War's characters and the way that they interact with each other that truly makes this game emotional. Almost every cutscenes hits hard in some way and takes you through a truly emotional journey. I couldn't wait to progress throughout the game just to see what more of the events that would unfold and the way each character would react to them.
Graphics: 9.5/10
Walking around in the world and just looking at the scenery makes the game feel so much bigger and really bright you into the world that you are exploring.
Gameplay: 8/10
Killing hordes of enemies and giant bosses whole trying to keep yourself alive is always exciting and provides a great thrill. Learning and mastering new skills that are unlocked through the skill tree are also a great way to keep combat fresh and interesting.
Difficulty: 6/10 (0 being the easiest, 10 being the hardest). (Played on give me balance)
God of war has always provided a difficulty for those that beg for a real challenge and playing on any mode still provides a good challenge that matches your skill level whether you're a casual or a masochist.
Fun: 9/10
Between skills, combat, and story, God of War offers an amazing experience that makes you always curious as to where the game would go. I couldn't wait to finish the game just to see where things would go next and if you played the first God of War in the Norse saga it's even more thrilling.
