It's pretty, it plays smooth, but it's overhyped...

A hyper-realized ancient roman tale,. sorta like if George Lucas did the Odyssey. The graphics in-game are crisp at many points. The best level was surprisingly the first when you battle the hydra beast, while, as admitted in one of the extras by the dev. team, GoW's later levels were rushed. The story was a pretty decent one, but could have been even better when compared to original grecoroman myths. I enjoyed the rpg elements, but by now I expect any action adventure game to have some form of weapon or skill upgrades.( Afterall, Deus Ex came out years ago and that had the best blend of action adv. and rpg elements which makes it infinitely replayable.)The sound was good, I like opera anthems as battle music.
