The only thing missing is the "UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT etc etc etc". People have likened this to the Contra or 'Probotector" series of games, and I would have to agree in essence.
Bargain bin purchase is the way to go, just don't spend too much on the game as it breaks no new ground, but still....it is mindless fun, that whittles away a rainy afternoon.
Best played with 2 people, snacks and plenty drinks on a rainy afternoon.
Obviously its not to everyone's tastes, and I may be mellowing in my tastes as I get older...(yes, I admit I am old)
But don't think too hard about it, don't expect an "Oscar winner" so to speak, and you might enjoy it for what it is.
Remember gaming is (meant to be) fun!
