Quite frankly, this is one game that should not be bought. Even fans of the anime, besides the people with "clouded judgement" simply because it's GitS, will not enjoy. People that barely watch or have never seen the anime? This would be one esoteric trip.

The entirety of it lacks quite a bit of substance, and the gameplay is definite mediocrisy. The control layout makes it very frusturating to be precise in your aiming: imagine Quake on the PC, where- if you wanted to- you would use the Page Up or Page Down to look up or down. Only, you have to use it constantly. The style requires a lot of movement, yet barely any way to do so. Also, the missions were very simplistic and didn't reqwuire much thought, and actually could be done quite quickly. Now, the story-line wasn't the least bit interesting (I can't recall a lot of what was going on), though, I didn't spend much time worrying about that. The graphics, though, are pretty nicely done. I can certainly say I enjoyed the visuals and found them impressive- but sound was abysmal. Though, I have to admit: Shooter + PSP? I certainly hope, if you want to play this game, that you aren't expecting some Doom/Halo/Shoot 'Em Up Kill/Mainstream Cult Classic/etc.

Ups: Graphics are just .. fun. Uhm, sticks true to the series.

Downs: Precision is impossible, the variety is quite low-standard, and the majority of the game is an unexplained, esoteric bash.
