December 14, 2005 - I am a die hard fan of the Gauntlet series but to my dismay, I am horrified at the latest release. Its nice to see added combos and new magic but don’t kill what people already like. They have boasted the added RPG elements, Where are they? I was hoping to see weapon or armor shops or at least when your char level, your look change. They have striped the games essence by taking out all of the things I loved in dark legacy i.e. item collection, hidden items, hidden levels, a bit of puzzle solving, and get this, you cant even change your characters color.. The Bosses are outlandish too powerful and the game itself can get congested, especially in 4 player modes. What I don’t understand is how they can employ a sports gaming creator to have a say in a non sports game. I preordered my game almost as soon as I heard it was being released. I would say to anyone interested in the game to just play Dark legacy again. I have had the game for 1 day. I returned it to the store so that I could get the maximum credit for it before it is realized that this game suck and I only get 5 dollars store credit.
