The only thing more terrifying than the aliens are the bugs that invaded this otherwise superb game.
Turn-based strategy? Good! Tactical strategy? Good! Both together in one top-shelf package of premium production value? Good!! The fine people at 2K Games and Firaxis have brought us a wonderful addition to our gam... Read Full Review

Such a disappointment!
Ok, let's see, I am playing the X-COM and UFO series since forever (meaning ALL of them), and I was sooooo excited when I knew a new game is coming to the series! However, and let's be honest here, the game turned to be ... Read Full Review

Half baked game that is extremely addictive but start to go bad really fast
Pros: 1. a good reboot with vast improvement in gameplay mechanics to push the game to current age of gaming. Ie: added the cover mechanic, redesign turn-based system to more organized than the original xcom (which fe... Read Full Review

I do not know where to start with XCOM - Enemy Unknown. First let me say I only play as a single player and very seldom online in multi-player free-for-alls, so I am writing this from the single player standpoint. ... Read Full Review

I have not enjoyed strategy game as much as this one from (he he) Civ 2. Firaxis really delivers here.
I admit I did not play a lot of tactical shooters. I played just one UFO game in the past, and that was OK, but nothing as impressive as this game. The tactical combat is... for the lack of better word... perfect. AI is ... Read Full Review

Just like the legacy game, but on steroids! A lot of fun for those that like turn based games with cool cut scenes!
I played all the originals, and this is really true to form, but with much better graphics, story line, cut scenes, etc. It is fun. Could use some better zoom in zoom out on the maps. Seems like so far you can only ha... Read Full Review

An excellent re-imagining of a classic in the genre!
Well let me first say that I did not spend the amount of time on the original as I am sure many fans of this genre have, but this game certainly grabbed me from the beginning and made me understand what made the original... Read Full Review

Reviving a dying genre with flying colors...
Honestly this is an amazing game... and a really nice change from all the other games that have stopped innovating and keep doing the same thing over and over again. I have to specify that this is the first XCOM game I... Read Full Review

Lack of depth and a surprisingly large amount of bugs hold back XCOM: Enemy Unknown from tactical greatness.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown wasn't a game I heard much about prior to its release. But being as it was worked on by both 2K and Firaxis, I really wanted to check it out. After playing the demo, I was immediately hooked. Even tho... Read Full Review
