1. Story Endings

   During the course of the game, you are given the opportunity to rescue Izumi, Miki, and the Makimuras. Rescuing some or all of these characters can trigger different endings - and allow additional levels - in the game. The "bad" ending ends the game at the end of Level 6. The "moderate" ending allows a seventh level. The "best" ending only differs from the "moderate" ending in that it gives a better ending to the storyline as a whole.

2. Level Passwords

   To enter the password, power-on or reset the NES console and press the Select Button so that the cursor hovers over "Continue". Press the Start Button and you will find the password screen and its various Japanese characters. The passwords below are thusly in a format of - Row #, Column # -. Once you have entered the password, use the lower-rightmost blue phrase to confirm the password entry. Do note, however, that these also store your progress towards the game's endings; hence, there are multiple "Level 6/7" passwords listed - one for each ending, as Level 6 is the "point of no return" for unlocking the endings. Look within the parentheses for which ending.
