Champions Online is fun (for about a week) but lacks content, balance and polish.
Champions Online is fun (for about a week) but lacks content, balance and polish. Give it 6 months and it might be worth a subscription. ATM it's a pay-to-play Beta. Unless your idea of rolling an alt and doing all th... Read Full Review

The game that could have been, is now a sad "what-if" look at superhero MMO's
What could have been a fantastic opportunity to reinvent the superhero MMO concept instead became a wasted chance at creating something great. My review starts with my first champion's online experience: The open bet... Read Full Review

A decent MMO with CoX style gameplay wrapped up in a compelling universe, very adaptable to RPG play. Not up to hype.
Plays like: it plays just like CoX without the wait for travel powers and skills are wide open for customization. Controls even are designed after CoX, however the energy bar and skills seem to be renovated to have each ... Read Full Review

Expected More
I'll start by saying my opinion of this game may be slanted slightly more toward the negative compared to how I might normally judge a new MMORPG simply because the company that made this game (Cryptic) is the same compa... Read Full Review

Let me say first that I have played quite a few MMOs and I am a big fan of the superhero genre so I have been anxious about this game for months now. Overall I think that they did a great job on the game, the Devs seem ... Read Full Review

So here we are, Cryptic Studios' second online game based on the superhero genre following City of Heroes. How does it shape up? The best way that I can think of to go about this review is to separate the different aspec... Read Full Review

C'mon people. What is up with the whole, oh this game sux but I'm sure they'll make it better so just you wait stuff?
I'm sorry, but video game developers are the only business I know that gets a constant pass from fanboys. I could only wish my job was like that. Oh I know Mr.VP it's not exactly what you wanted but just hold on to your ... Read Full Review

Lacks content, Devs seem clueless.
I originally posted this at MMORPG.com: Once you get up to the mid 20's and upward, you'll find a serious content gap, running out of missions. Wouldn't be so bad, except mob xp is negligible, so grinding open quests ... Read Full Review

Champions Online is a great MMO out of the box. Customisation is the way to go and if you like that sort there hre it is
I would first note that I have been playing Champions Online since Closed Beta. I would also like to metion that I had played City of Heroes and City of Villians up until August of this year. I have now cancelled my subs... Read Full Review
