Takes time to get used to but is the best racing game I have ever played.

Let me start off by stating that this game is five years old and the graphics compare to games of the last few years. I started in the racing genre with Need for Speed games so that is what I had expected coming into this game. I was overly surprised at how different the two really are, rather than street racing in tuners you get to race in all types of cars from muscle to prototypes. The controls are great once you get used to them and the tuning of your car to your specific driving style is great and makes for a much better racing experience than having the car at a generic setup by the company. You also get to make the car completely customized by adding performance and cosmetic (body and paint) parts to make it your own. The variety of cars is crazy; with over 300 cars to choose from it makes the games play time rack up as you try to find the perfect car for you.
The Forza series is absolutely phenomenal and Need for Speed is trying harder to compete with them, look at NFS: Shift for example, the gameplay and racing style is very similar but I feel it falls short compared to Forza. I have only actually played the first two games for any amount of time but I have played three and four and I must say that they have raised the bar for racing games. I highly recommend this game and give it a 9/10.
